How to invite and manage team members
These steps apply to your organization workspace. If you haven’t created one yet, see Set up your organization first.
Invite a member by email
Section titled “Invite a member by email”- Switch to your Organization workspace.
- Go to Settings → Organization.
- Select Invite member.
- Enter the person’s email address and choose their role — Member or Admin. Owner isn’t offered here; you promote someone to Owner after they’ve joined.
- Select Send invitation. The recipient gets an email with a link to join, and appears under Pending invitations until they accept.
If your organization is at its seat limit, the invite is blocked until you free up a seat or upgrade. Seat limits depend on your plan — see Organization roles and permissions for exact numbers.
Change a member’s role
Section titled “Change a member’s role”- Go to Settings → Organization.
- Find the member in the list and open their role menu.
- Select the new role: Owner, Admin, or Member.
If you want to hand off billing responsibility, promote the other person to Owner or Admin first — only Owners and Admins can manage billing. For what each role can and can’t do, see Organization roles and permissions.
Cancel a pending invite
Section titled “Cancel a pending invite”- Go to Settings → Organization.
- Find the invitation under Pending invitations — a separate table from the active members list.
- Select Cancel invitation.
The invite link stops working immediately. If you want to invite the same person later, send a new invite.
Remove a member
Section titled “Remove a member”- Go to Settings → Organization.
- Find the member and select Remove.
- Confirm.
Removing a member revokes their access to the organization’s projects, glossaries, and shared credit pool right away. Organization-scoped API keys are owned by the organization, not the individual, so they keep working after the member who created them is removed — see Create and use an API key.
